Prince William and Kate Middleton may not be the only ones in the royal family inheriting new titles following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Royal fans will now wait to see if the Sussexes use these new titles for their children.

There is also the issue of King Charles III possibly wanting a new slimmed-down monarchy and perhaps preventing Archie and Lilibet from using the prince and princess titles.

To do so, he will have to issue a Letters Patent amending Archie’s right to be a prince and Lili’s right to be a princess.

It is possible that King Charles could still revoke those titles from his grandchildren

In order to remove Archie and Lilibet's new titles, the king would have to issue a Letters Patent amending their rights, per The Guardian.

When Archie was born, it was suggested that he take the title of Earl of Dumbarton
